Urban Essence Salon & Spa (UESS), founded in 2003, is the PA based national provider of affordable luxury, personal care products and a regional provider of spa-like services for men and women in the Philadelphia tri-state area. 

Over the past 20 years the company has been recognized for providing over 140 quality hand-crafted, nature-based products for the bath, body, and home. With a strong base of unique products and custom-blending solutions, UESS produces selections which compliment a client’s grooming routine or which create affordable supplements to some of their existing favorites. UESS remains an emerging leader in the area of affordable luxury and personal care.

Our Mission

Urban Essence Salon & Spa is dedicated to providing bath & body products and services which promote personal care and enhance an overall sense of well-being, we value establishing long-term relationships with clients based on serving as a quality product provider and champion of holistic self-care. We work to promote awareness of product ingredients, distribution, and use in order to create educated consumers who can make well-informed decisions regarding their UESS selections and complementary products.

Meet the Makers

Timothy Minor and Theresa Peoples are the Founders and Chief Creative Officers of Urban Essence Salon & Spa, LLC. Natives of Philadelphia, PA, they are passionate about self-employment and supporting the community. The idea for Urban Essence Salon & Spa stemmed from the desire to provide affordable spa services with natural products for everyone to enjoy. This dynamic couple currently operate the products division and creates delectable personal care products made from ingredients that are gentle and nourishing to the skin. Their line of handcrafted products include a sugar scrub, soothing sinus relief bath teas and a variety of body butters, body sprays, soaps and shower gels. Their passion to create these products is a far cry from their professional careers in information technology. They will be bringing their attention to detail to new projects for Urban Essence Salon & Spa including promoting the customized fragrance services for clients as well as the preparations for the launch of their new wholesale program.
